Seafood Sams App
Project type
User Interface
Date
2025
This project explores how inventive microinteractions can make a digital product feel more engaging and personal. While looking at examples of apps with creative motion design, I noticed that people often gravitate toward bold, dynamic animations rather than simplified, minimal interfaces. For my Seafood Sam’s app concept, motion design became a way to communicate emotion and personality, helping younger users feel welcome, entertained, and connected to a restaurant that has been part of the community for generations. The interface uses playful animations, familiar symbols, and responsive icons to turn simple actions like loading, navigation, and notifications into small, memorable moments. These microinteractions are meant to create comfort and nostalgia while also guiding the user naturally through the app, making the experience feel friendly, intuitive, and alive rather than static. Through this project, I focused on finding a balance between fun and functionality, learning how even subtle motion can have a strong emotional impact when designed with intention.
