A Wrinkle in Time

These are conceptual posters for Merrimack College's performance of the play, “A Wrinkle in Time". To get the otherworldly feel that the director was looking for, I found an image of the moon, colored it orange, and added a lens flare to make it stand out a little bit more. For the second poster, I drew a Tesseract and painted it with watercolors. I used various shades of blue and purple as the client suggested. In both posters, the typography is super dynamic, the goal was that it would brighten it up and give them some movement to reflect the feeling that the characters have when they are “tessering”. The stars in the background were created by flicking paint onto paper, then scanning and combining the elements digitally, with some touch-ups done in Illustrator. This project was a blast to work on, especially since I have a background in the performing arts.
